I want to make sure all my pupils are aware of some important changes happening to driving test bookings.

• Since 31 March 2026 you can only make 2 changes to your test
• After 12 May 2026 only you can book, access and change your test booking
• After 9 June 2026, if you want to move your test it can only be to one of the 3 nearest test centres to you

Drop me a message or let’s chat at your next lesson to talk about these changes and how they will affect your booking.

You can find out more about the rule changes here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/changes-to-driving-test-booking-rules-in-2026

Thinking about booking your driving test?

• Rules about managing your driving test booking are changing. Since 31 March 2026, once you book, you can only make 2 changes
• After 12 May 2026 only you can book, access and change your test booking
• After 9 June 2026, if you want to move your text it can only be to one of the 3 nearest test centres to you

My recommendation: book your test for a date when you’ll be ready, and in a location you want to take it.

Drop me a message or let’s chat at your next lesson to talk about these changes and how they work.

An update for my pupils on the driving test booking rule changes
From 9 June 2026 you will only be able to move your test to one of the nearest 3 test centres from where you are booked.

Drop me a message or come and chat at your next lesson about how this affects your booking.

You can find out more about the changes here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/changes-to-driving-test-booking-rules-in-2026

Quick update for all my pupils. The way driving tests are booked and managed is changing.

The main things you need to know:

• Since 31 March, you’ll can only make 2 changes to your test
• From 12 May only you can access and change your test booking and
• From 9 June if you want to move location, it has to be to a nearby test centre.

If I’ve booked a test for you, we need to transfer that over to you. Come and chat to me in your next lesson and I’ll give you your booking reference.

Thinking about booking your driving test? Here’s my advice.

New rules have started since 31 March 2026:

• Since 31 March 2026, once you book, you can only make 2 changes
• After 12 May 2026 only you can book, access and change your test booking
• After 9 June 2026, if you want to move your text it can only be to one of the 3 nearest test centres to you

My recommendation: don’t book until you’re genuinely ready.

That means:

• You don’t need prompting from me
• You don’t make serious or dangerous mistakes when you’re driving
• You can pass a mock test
• You have practised ways of managing nerves

Let’s make sure you’re properly prepared first. Then when you book, you won’t need to change it.
