![]() | Video: Did someone else book your driving test for you? (MP4, 53.6MB) Quick update for all my pupils. The way driving tests are booked and managed is changing. The main things you need to know: From 31 March, you’ll only be able to make 2 changes to your test. From spring 2026, only you can access and change your test booking and if you want to move location, it has to be to a nearby test centre. If I’ve booked a test for you, we need to transfer that over to you. Come and chat to me in your next lesson and I’ll give you your booking reference. You can get more information here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/changes-to-driving-test-booking-rules-in-2026 |
![]() | Video: Are you ready to take your driving test (MP4, 32.4MB) Thinking about booking your driving test? Here’s my advice. New rules are coming in from 31 March 2026. Once you book, you can only make 2 changes. My recommendation: don’t book until you’re genuinely ready. That means: • You don’t need prompting from me • You don’t make serious or dangerous mistakes when you’re driving • You can pass a mock test • You have practised ways of managing nerves Let’s make sure you’re properly prepared first. Then when you book, you won’t need to change it. |
